How can it be one year? This just seems an absurdity. Anniversaries are such arbitrary dates, yet such markers. How can it be a year since we all learned the awful news? How can it be a year since this nightmare began? Dillon’s presence continues in so many of our lives. Harriet and Steve have been amazing in what they have accomplished in Dillon’s name and all the lives they are helping, whether at Pali High or in Darfur. How impossibly hard it must be for Taylor to continue and thrive while enduring this heartache. As I do every day, I am thinking about Dillon and his smile and his ability to live life to the max.
