Dandelion

Lost girl in the Ghetto, fresh out of the box.
A new horde of Jews
You’ve just stepped out.
You walk one step; one step too far.
You walk two steps; two steps too far.
You walk three. Stop.

Your world halts to a stop; you’re all alone
Surrounded by the countless frozen faces
No one to turn to. No family. Nothing.
You have no sense of what it is
This frozen calamity. Snap.

Back to reality. Alone again.
The pain of truth spreads like oil to fire.
Your emotions, morals, thoughts, and feelings
Have all been wisped away.
Just like one lonely dandelion, with no others around.

One blow-emotions gone away,
One more-morals down the drain,
A third-thoughts inaccessible for all eternity,
Then the last blow…
Poof, it is all gone.
