I simply cannot find the words to say how much respect and love I have for the Henrys and all they are doing to make this world a better place in honor of Dillon. He would want nothing else.

Please leave your comment here Well, It's February, 2010. My son, Carl, my daughter Malauka and I still talk about and think about Dillon often. He impacted our lives. We cherish and appreciate the time he was in our lives. As Carl and Dillon grew up, Malauka and I watched countless soccer games and basketball games that Carl and Dillon played together in. It was such a joy to see them play, during practices and games together; both empassioned by the camaraderie, the drive, the love for the game and the teamwork that the games entailed. Dillon's love of life, his inclusivity and ability to make everyone he came in contact with feel important and welcome, his desire to make a difference in this world and his ability to appreciate the moment fully, whatever that moment happened to be, continues to provide daily inspiration to me. Thank you, Dillon and much Love and Light to Harriet, Steve and Taylor. Admin reply: So wonderful to hear from you Unity! I know Taylor just was on facebook with Carl...thank you for keeping Dillon in your thougthts and in your hearts always. Each day goes by and we seem to miss Dillon more and more.

Dear Henry Family, My name is Mariska. I am Christina's Aunt. Christinia told me that your family not only graciously accepted her as a scholarship recipient to honor your son, but that you have generously offered to give her the chance of a lifetime to volunteer overseas. As you may know, Christina is a hard worker, a very good student and is extremely talented. With your help she is going to be able to go, see, and do things that many poeple never have the opportunity to do in a lifetime. I want to thank you for making the investment in her future. When all is said and done, she is going to make us all extremely proud. Christina is a first generation college student, and she is proudly taking our famiy to new uncharted heights. I want you to know when she does walk across that stage you will have played a big part in her success. You are a blessing to her and our family. I pray that your family finds joy in Christina, her writings, and future endeavors. Thank you.

I felt compelled to write as I reflect on the similarities that I share with Dillon Henry. I did not know him, yet through parallel compassion towards the Darfuri people, I want to help keep his passion alive. The Dillon Henry Youth Centers in the Oure Cassoni camp are of particular interest since I have experience working and living in Africa, especially with vulnerable war-affected communities (mostly women and children) in IDP camps and areas of return in northern Uganda. My background deeply resonates with the child safe spaces and GBV programs within the Darfuri refugee camps in Eastern Chad. I would iike to inquire about working in the field to help keep Dillon's dreams alive. Kindest regards and many thanks for creating a cause to honor Dillon Henry; may many learn to follow in his footsteps.

Dillon As time passes by it is harder for me to confront the reality of what happened. I'm sorry if I haven't been checking in as often as I would in the past, it's just so hard. You would love college, and the freedom of the college lifestyle so much. I find myself listening to Jack Johnson in my down time so much, and of course it always makes me think of you, and makes me feel your spirit all around me. I hope that the heavens are treating you well. You truly were such a beautiful person, and I will never forget that. Always thinking of you, and sending you and your entire family strength, happiness, and love. xoxo

Thank you so much for alowing me to attend Dillon's "council". Hearing everyone's stories touched my heart in ways that cannot be expressed and I am truly grateful to have been friends with someone as caring as your son Dillon.
